Installation of medical isolation panels at Al-Nas Hospital

The hospital required a large number of isolation panels for operating rooms to safeguard the lives of children. Our role was to swiftly and efficiently complete this mission in full coordination with the Egyptian Ministry of Health. The medical isolation system, also known as the Isolated Power Supply (IPS) system, is primarily composed of three parts: the isolation transformer, the isolation monitor, and the external alarm and display devices. The isolation transformer completely separates the primary side from the secondary side and also isolates the circuit. Within the system, the transformer is enhanced along with its internal structure, while the characteristics of the temperature sensor are analyzed to effectively transmit temperature signals—mainly to the isolation monitoring system—to enable over-temperature alarms. At the same time, the isolation monitoring system itself is the core component. This system mainly includes an alarm display and a current transformer, which can accurately locate faults. The final element is the alarm unit, which communicates with the isolation monitor and provides timely audio and visual alerts in case of insulation failure, thereby ensuring the safety and reliability of medical power supply.
